Colombo can now experience a fresh take on Sri Lankan Gastronomy through Kaema Sutra, the new restaurant by Dharshan Munidasa and Jacqueline Fernandez. Kaema Sutra which directly translates to ‘Art of Food’ (in Sinhala) serves up Contemporary Sri Lankan Cuisine, bringing to the fore the best produce our island nation has to offer and taking a modern spin on elements of our traditional cuisine.
The restaurant is housed at the Arcade Independence Square, one of Colombo’s newest iconic development projects under the Urban Development Authority, located next to Independence Square on Bauddhaloka Mawatha, where it will no doubt add value to the complex.
Dharshan, who is one of Colombo’s foremost restaurateurs, had this to say;” I’ve always wanted to cook food that connects to the DNA of Sri Lankans. I believe that Kaema Sutra will bring Sri Lankan soul food to a new level, while maintaining its authenticity.” Read more
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උපත ලද මේවනවිට බොලිවුඩ්හි ජනප්‍රිය නිලියක් වන ජකල්යින් ෆර්ඩිනැන්ඩ්ස් ලංකාවේ අවන්හලක් විවෘත කරන ලදී. එම අවන්හල කොළඹ නගරය තුල විවෘත කල අකේඩ් ඉන්ඩිපෙන්ඩන්ස් (Arcade - Independence Square) තුල විවෘත කලා.
මෙම අවන්හල සඳහා නමක් සොයාගැනීම සඳහා ඇය බොහෝ වෙහෙස වී ඇති අතර අවසානයේ එයට "කෑම සූත්‍ර" ලෙස නම් තබා ඇත. අවන්හලේ නම "කාම සූත්‍ර" නොවන බවත් එය "කෑම සුත්‍ර බවත්" එහෙයින් කාමුක කිසිවක් අවන්හලේ නොමැති බවද ඇය ඉන්දියානු මාධ්‍යය වෙත පවසා තිබේ.
මෙම අවන්හල මේ දිනවල සල්මන් ඛාන් සමග රංගනයෙන් දායක වන "කික්" චිත්‍රපටයේ වැඩ කටයුතු අතර ඇය ලංකාවට පැමිණ විවෘත කිරීමට කටයුතු කර තිබුනා.
